It All Began With A Bug is a short narrative adventure game where you play as insects in a mysterious tower rising above the ocean. Crawl, mate, dance, fly, push dung and dive into the tiny struggles of fascinating bugs. Discover each creature's story as humanity awaits an imminent collapse, in a narration framed as a nature documentary.

OBSERVE AND BE OBSERVED

A narrator guides you through the insects' stories, observing your actions with curiosity and poetry. While the narrator documents their lives with scientific care, the tower itself tells a second, quieter story.

DISCOVER UNIQUE BEHAVIORS

From rhythm-based spider courtship dances to strategic dung-rolling, each insect brings its own way to play. Each sequence introduces new mechanics tailored to that insect's biology and behavior.
